Assistant Manager – Denny’s

About the Position
We are looking for a motivated, dependable, and hands-on Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. In this role, you’ll work alongside the Restaurant Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, provide outstanding guest service, and lead the team to deliver quality food and excellent service.
This position is ideal for someone with restaurant leadership experience who is ready to grow their management career.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day operation of the restaurant
- Lead and motivate team members during each shift
- Ensure guests receive exceptional service and resolve customer concerns professionally
- Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and food safety
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees
- Help create schedules and manage labor efficiently
- Monitor inventory, prep levels, and product quality
- Ensure company policies and health department regulations are followed
- Step into any position, including serving, hosting, cooking, or expediting, when needed
- Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving sales, labor, and operational goals
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Positive attitude with a passion for customer service
- Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food safety knowledge is a plus
