JOB SUMMARY:
DoubleTree by Hilton Sacramento is seeking a dependable and hardworking Housekeeping Houseperson to join our housekeeping team. The Houseperson plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of guest floors, public areas, and housekeeping storage areas. This position supports Room Attendants by ensuring supplies are stocked, linens are delivered, and guest requests are handled promptly and professionally.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of guest corridors, stairwells, elevators, and public areas.
- Deliver clean linens, towels, and housekeeping supplies to designated areas.
- Remove soiled linens, trash, and recyclables from housekeeping areas.
- Assist Room Attendants with guest requests and operational needs.
- Restock housekeeping closets and supply areas throughout the shift.
- Clean and maintain housekeeping storage rooms and work areas.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and damaged property to management.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects as assigned.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests.
- Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Assist other departments as needed to support hotel operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain professional standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, lift, push, and pull.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
