Position Overview:
We are seeking an energetic, passionate Line/Pizza Cook to work alongside our Executive/Sous chef to help create and build one of the premier dinning destinations in the Charleston area. We require the candidate with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a role as a Line Cook.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the kitchens overall performance in the absence of the Executive/Sous chef.
- Assist in leading the kitchen team in executing high-quality Italian dishes, including pasta, sauces, and traditional Italian entrees.
- Contribute to our seasonal menus that showcase the best of Italian cuisine while considering cost and profitability.
- Ensure consistency and excellence in food preparation and presentation.
- Collaborate with management to manage inventory, control costs, and uphold quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Stay current with industry trends and techniques to continually elevate the restaurant's offerings.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume restaurant, preferably specializing in Italian cuisine. 2 years minimum preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Creative flair and a passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Have a keen sense of attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
