Successfully spraying of prepared plugs and master patterns for the plug/master prep and mold lamination teams

Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct daily tests for equipment calibration and operation
-
Tape and prepare plugs and master patterns for spraying
-
Make sure that plugs and masters are clean with no contaminates before spraying
-
Set up, operate, and shut down gelcoat/high-build guns and pumps. Clean spray guns
-
Spray gelcoat in an even mil thickness. Know each part’s mil requirements
-
Maintain all booths and equipment clean neat and organized, at all times
-
Conduct daily routine maintenance of booths and equipment
-
Record material date and batch numbers
-
Ensure all operations are performed safely
-
Maintain all areas and keep equipment clean, neat, and organized at all times

Store all materials safely at the end of the day

Conduct operations using TDC mold fabrication approved processes (ISPC)
Proficiencies:
-
Fully understand gelcoat/high-build component coating equipment maintenance and use

Spray booth operation and maintenance

Use of quality assurance equipment, mil gauge, etc.

Composite fabrication
-
Spot repair techniques
Qualifications
General knowledge and understanding of required power tools
Must be able to understand and execute top quality
Must be able to pass the strength/stress test and drug/alcohol screening contingent to the hiring process
Job requires standing and working in and around boats/molds throughout the entire day
Must work efficiently and in the safest manner possible, following all safety regulations at all times
