Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating dental prosthetics and appliances, ensuring high-quality standards while adhering to infection control protocols. This role requires a strong understanding of dental anatomy, medical terminology, and the ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment. This role also may require you to travel between 2 locations- 30 minutes apart from each office.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate dental prosthetics such as crowns, bridges, dentures, and orthodontic appliances according to specifications.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to understand patient needs and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Utilize dental terminology and medical knowledge to accurately interpret prescriptions and specifications.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Keep accurate records of materials used and procedures followed in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring everything is in good working order.
- Work to design and manufacturer dental prosthetics using Exocad software
- Mill out dental prosthetics using DOF 5 axis mill and hyperdent nesting software
- 3D print dental prosthetics using Sprintray Exosystem and other 3D printers
Skills
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices within a laboratory setting.
- Proficient in dental fabrication techniques and processes.
- Understanding of anatomy relevant to dental applications.
- Familiarity with medical and dental terminology.
- Experience with HIPAA compliance in handling patient information.
- Ability to assist in clinical settings, including taking vital signs when necessary.
- Proficient use of software systems such as Trello for patient management.
