Now Hiring: Full-Time Veterinary Receptionist
Location: Buckwalter Veterinary Clinic
Buckwalter Veterinary Clinic is excited to announce the expansion of our practice with the construction of a new, state-of-the-art facility—and we are looking for a dedicated, full-time Veterinary Receptionist to grow with us!
We are a fast-paced, high-volume small animal clinic with three experienced veterinarians and a collaborative, team-focused environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about animals, enjoys working in a dynamic setting, and thrives in a customer-service-oriented role.
Position Details:
- Full-time: 35–40 hours per week
- Must be punctual, professional in appearance, and arrive 15 minutes before each scheduled shift
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic required for maintaining an efficient and supportive workflow
Key Responsibilities:
- Answering multi-line phone systems and directing calls appropriately
- Scheduling appointments and managing client communications
- Checking clients and patients in and out
- Coordinating with veterinarians, technicians, and assistants
- Managing email correspondence and performing general administrative tasks
- Ensuring accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Basic cleaning to maintain a tidy and welcoming environment
Additional Duties May Include:
- Preparing lab samples (e.g., fecal samples) for submission
- Assisting with restraint of animals during examinations or treatments
- Learning and educating clients about preventative care products
Requirements:
- Strong computer, phone, and communication skills
- Ability to understand and manage veterinary medical records
- Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting heavy pets as needed
- Willingness to assist in various tasks across the clinic as part of a team
- Passion for animals and a commitment to client service
