Responsibilities
- Market and sell Rainfall Index insurance products to livestock operators, hay producers, and forage operations
- Educate producers on rainfall index programs, grid selection, interval strategies, coverage levels, and productivity factors
- Build and maintain relationships with ranchers, farmers, ag lenders, grazing associations, and ag service providers
- Assist producers with quoting, applications, acreage verification (AF), and policy maintenance
- Monitor rainfall index results and discuss expected indemnities with clients
- Stay current on RMA program updates, deadlines, compliance requirements, and index data trends
- Provide exceptional customer service and serve as a trusted advisor to forage-dependent operations
- Negotiate policy terms and premiums to reach mutually beneficial agreements, ensuring client satisfaction and retention
- Develop marketing strategies to attract new clients
Requirements
- Insurance license in applicable state(s)
- Proven experience selling rainfall index products with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Strong negotiation skills to close deals confidently while maintaining positive relationships
- Demonstrated analysis skills for assessing client needs and customizing insurance solutions accordingly
- Customer service orientation with the ability to handle inquiries professionally and empathetically
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively
