Attends and records verbatim official public meetings of the Navajo Board of Election Supervisors (NBOES); transcribes recordings conducted in the Navajo and/or English languages and prepares meetings minutes for official records; prepares and finalizes resolution of the NBOES including all official amendments, assignment of resolution numbers and ensures all required signatures are on subject document; maintains notes of all proceedings including vote counts on resolutions and all other actions and/or decisions by the NBOES. Prepares NBOES agenda and roll call sheets; submits and maintains claim forms and travel authorizations for NBOES; operates and maintain audio and video equipment. Must be able to interpret and translate English into the Navajo Language without difficulty; must be highly fluent in communicating in the Navajo Language; ability to prepare reports, resolutions, and official meeting minutes; maintain official public records; establish and maintain effective working relationships; meticulous attention to work details to ensure accuracy of resolutions, meeting minutes and written correspondence. Must be knowledge of computer software, hardware, and peripherals; general office practices; ability to operate and maintain audio and video equipment.
Knowledge of computer hardware, software, peripherals, general office practices, procedures, operation of audio and visual transcription and recording equipment. Translation of the Navajo Language into written language, English into Navajo Language without difficulty, and fluent in communicating in Navajo. Written and verbal communication in the preparation of reports, official public minutes, and resolutions. Maintaining records, prioritizing, scheduling, reviewing, evaluating, reports, customer services and maintaining an effective work relationship. Work requires attention to detail in developing official minutes and resolutions for public records with lifting and carrying of audio and visual equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
