About Rhino Exteriors
Rhino Exteriors is a locally operated exterior-services company serving homeowners throughout Northern Colorado. We provide window washing, exterior cleaning, roofing, gutters, siding, painting, and exterior assessment services.
We are looking for an outgoing, dependable person to introduce homeowners to our professional window-washing services and schedule qualified appointments for our team.
This is a contracted, performance-based position with the opportunity for high-performing individuals to move into an internal Junior Sales Representative role.
Position Overview
The Door-to-Door Appointment Setter will work within designated neighborhoods to speak with homeowners, explain Rhino Exteriors’ window-washing services, and schedule appointments for interested customers.
This is not a high-pressure closing position. Your primary responsibility is to create a positive first impression, identify interested homeowners, collect accurate information, and schedule qualified appointments.
Responsibilities
- Door knock within approved neighborhoods and assigned service areas
- Professionally introduce Rhino Exteriors and our window-washing services
- Explain current services, offers, and available appointment options
- Identify homeowners who are interested in receiving an estimate or scheduling service
- Schedule qualified appointments using the company’s approved process
- Collect accurate customer names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and service details
- Enter appointment information and canvassing activity into the required system
- Follow all neighborhood solicitation rules and respect posted “No Soliciting” notices
- Represent Rhino Exteriors in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner
- Communicate appointment details and important customer information to the internal team
- Participate in periodic training on services, customer communication, and appointment quality
What Makes an Appointment Qualified
A qualified appointment must include:
- A homeowner or authorized decision-maker
- A property located within Rhino Exteriors’ approved service area
- Confirmed interest in window-washing services
- Accurate customer contact and property information
- A confirmed appointment date and time
- Clear notes regarding the services the customer is interested in
Appointments containing inaccurate information, unconfirmed interest, duplicate customer records, or customers who did not knowingly agree to an appointment may not qualify for compensation.

- Friendly, confident, and comfortable speaking with new people
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Professional in appearance and communication
- Reliable and consistent
- Comfortable walking and working outdoors
- Able to handle rejection without becoming discouraged
- Honest when reporting activity and scheduling appointments
- Interested in developing a career in customer service or exterior sales
- Previous canvassing, appointment-setting, customer-service, or sales experience is helpful but not required
Physical and Work Requirements
- Ability to walk through residential neighborhoods for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in changing Northern Colorado weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to and from designated canvassing areas
- Reliable smartphone with calling, texting, internet, and application access
- Ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone, and through text
- Must comply with applicable local registration, permitting, or solicitation requirements
Contractor Compensation
This is an independent contractor position. Compensation will be based on qualified appointment-setting performance and will be explained in the contractor compensation agreement.
Compensation may include:
- Payment for qualified appointments
- Additional payment for appointments that result in completed window-washing work
- Performance bonuses for appointment quality, consistency, and production
- Additional incentives during company promotions or targeted neighborhood campaigns
Payments, qualification standards, cancellation rules, and payment timing will be documented separately in the Independent Contractor Agreement.

This position is designed to provide a potential entry point into Rhino Exteriors’ internal sales team.
Contractors may be considered for advancement into a Junior Sales Representative role based on:

Advancement is not guaranteed and will be based on business needs and individual performance.
A Junior Sales Representative may receive additional training and responsibilities involving exterior assessments, estimate presentation, customer follow-up, service recommendations, and the development of opportunities involving window washing, gutters, painting, siding, roofing, and other exterior services.
Independent Contractor Relationship
This is a contracted position and does not automatically create an employer-employee relationship. The contractor is responsible for applicable taxes, insurance, transportation, equipment, expenses, registrations, and other obligations associated with independent contractor work unless otherwise stated in a written agreement.
The specific terms of the contractor relationship will be governed by a separate Independent Contractor Agreement.
