Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories to ensure safe treatment plans
- Assist with chairside procedures such as applying fluoride treatments and sealants while maintaining aseptic techniques
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health
- Utilize Dentrix dental software systems for accurate documentation of patient records and treatment notes
- Support infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments, managing medical imaging, and adhering to HIPAA regulations
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a general dental practice is preferred
- Familiarity with Dentrix software
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures
- Prior exposure to dental assisting tasks, including chairside assisting and documentation review, is advantageous
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations while demonstrating excellent patient care skills
- Certification in dental hygiene from an accredited program and current licensure in good standing are required
Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
