CNC Router Operator / Cabinet Production Specialist

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Router Operator to join our growing cabinet and millwork production team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a 5' x 10' vacuum table CNC router and possess a strong understanding of cabinet construction, sheet goods processing, and production workflows.
This position is responsible for programming, nesting, cutting, labeling, and organizing cabinet components while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality production standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while collaborating with designers, installers, and production staff.
ResponsibilitiesCNC Programming & Operation
- Operate and maintain a 5' x 10' vacuum table CNC router.
- Create and modify CNC programs using industry-standard software.
- Set up tooling, materials, and vacuum hold-down systems.
- Perform machine calibration and quality control checks.
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Optimize nesting layouts to maximize material yield and reduce waste.
Cabinet Production
- Generate cut files and machining operations for cabinet components.
- Process plywood, MDF, melamine, and other sheet goods.
- Verify dimensions, joinery, drilling patterns, and hardware locations.
- Label and organize parts for assembly and installation.
- Assist with cabinet assembly and shop production as needed.
- Review drawings and specifications to ensure production accuracy.
Software & Design Support
- Work with design and production software including:
- Mozaik
- VCarve Pro
- Aspire
- Cabinet Vision (experience a plus)
- Other cabinet and CNC production software
- Modify existing jobs and create custom solutions when required.
- Collaborate with designers and project managers to improve production workflows.
- Prepare files for CNC machining and production.
Shop Operations
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Track material usage and inventory.
- Assist with receiving and handling sheet goods.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and tool changes.
- Follow all company safety procedures.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 2 years of CNC router operating experience.
- Experience with cabinet manufacturing or custom millwork.
- Experience operating vacuum table CNC routers.
- Familiarity with Mozaik, VCarve, Aspire, or similar software.
- Ability to read shop drawings, cabinet drawings, and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods and materials.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a production environment.
Preferred
- Experience with custom cabinetry and architectural millwork.
- Knowledge of nesting optimization and production workflows.
- Experience with toolpath creation and CNC programming.
- Familiarity with cabinet assembly and installation.

- Ability to create custom vector artwork and production files.
- Experience with laser engraving or additional CNC equipment.
