Busy gastroenterology group looking for a professional and detail oriented individual to add to our team.
Job Responsibilities (include but not limited too):
- Checks patients insurance and verify active coverage and copays
- Checks benefits/amounts due for all out-patient procedures
- Explains out of pocket expenses with patients.
- Collects physician fees for hospitals and Endoscopy center.
- Checks for referrals for office visit
- Checks for authorizations for procedures and obtain them if needed
- Posts procedures at the hospital
- Assists with prior authorizations as needed.
- Answers patient questions and concerns regarding insurance coverage.
- Schedule procedures
- Answer phone
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma
- Certification and/or experience with medical coding, insurance verification and pre-auths preferred
- 2+ years experience in medical practice or similar setting
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
- eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience desired
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
