Are you a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse looking for an opportunity to make a real difference? Do you want to work alongside a team of amazing nurses (and managers) who treat each other and our patients like royalty? If so, we want YOU to join our family!
Position Title: Registered Nurse
Location: Michigan
Licenses or Certificates: Active Michigan RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification (we’ll give you time to get certified if you’re hired).
Why You’ll Love Working Here: At our outpatient orthopedic surgery center, with a strong focus on sports medicine and total joint replacements, we believe in creating a fun and supportive environment where teamwork thrives. Our nurses are not just skilled professionals; they are the heart of our operation. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional patient care while enjoying our work. You'll be part of a culture that values communication, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to excellence.
Your Role: As a Registered Nurse with us, you will coordinate and supervise perioperative patient care in both Pre-op and PACU settings. Our nurses work interchangeably in these departments, making cross-training essential! The variation of start times and switching between departments during the week is part of the job, so adaptability is key. Your expertise will shine as you:
- Conduct head-to-toe preoperative assessments and reassess patients postoperatively across all age groups.
- Use your exceptional IV skills and telemetry experience to provide top-notch care.
- Manage pain effectively with appropriate techniques while safely administering medications. Assist the MDA with ultrasound guided blocks in pre-op providing Versed during the procedure.
- Perform point-of-care testing (and supervise MA's) and interpret results to take necessary actions.
- Stay informed and make decisions based on your strong knowledge of diseases and surgical conditions.
What We’re Looking For:
- A graduate from an accredited nursing school with a current Michigan RN license.
- A minimum of 3 years of pre-op/PACU experience.
- Current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus!).
- Basic computer knowledge to navigate our patient software system.
- A love for PAPER CHARTING! We use it alongside our scheduling software because it's faster and easier for our staff.
- A friendly demeanor with the ability to work well in a team—if you bring a smile to work and compassion in your care, we want you!
What’s in It for You:
- Free parking and provided scrubs—no need to worry about those costs!
- Enjoy a schedule that allows for a great work-life balance with Monday to Friday shifts.
- A comprehensive benefits package to support your health and well-being.
- A dynamic and supportive team environment.
- The chance to treat patients like royalty while working with incredible colleagues.
