We are a growing private optometry practice in Merced focused on comprehensive eye care and developmental vision. We are looking for a skilled and motivated full-time Optician to join our team of 3 doctors and support staff.
Position Overview
The Optician is responsible for helping patients select and purchase eyewear, measuring and fitting frames, processing optical orders, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves working with a wide range of patients and selling high-end frames and lenses. Training and retraining will be provided to ensure alignment with our practice standards and processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of optical experience required.
- Spanish bilingual is a plus.
- Strong desire and motivation to learn and grow with the practice.
- Comfortable and confident selling high-end glasses and frames.
- Open to being retrained on our systems and processes, even with prior optical experience.
- Willing to obtain optician certification within the first year of employment.
- Excellent math skills (accurate measurements, calculations, and order verification).
- Outstanding people skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all demographics and backgrounds.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and patient-focused.
