Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator will load/unload or otherwise move inventory using heavy capacity for truck equipment according to work orders and by directive of a supervisor.

Job Function:
- Responsible for operating fork truck to lift, move, position, and reposition steel and heavy material to stock areas.

Load and unload trailers and/or railroad cars.

Able to drive and operate the fork truck in a variety of conditions and spaces.

Log and report inventory location changes according to specified procedure into inventory computer system and/or by paperwork.

Log and tag inventory received according to specified procedure.

Assemble customer orders according to work orders.

Record pertinent material information to work orders, material, or other forms as specified by management.

Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.

Works and coordinates with multiple areas of the warehouse, and coworkers to complete tasks.

Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, policies, and procedures.

Required Skills:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read and write.

Preferred candidates will have heavy capacity for truck experience

Material handling experience preferred

Experience working with steel preferred
Compensation Range: The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $22.00/Hr. - USD $24.00/Hr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
