POSITION SUMMARY
A Process Engineer will provide process development and engineering design expertise for oil and gas projects. Use advance knowledge and specialized training to develop systems and unit operations in accordance with contractual obligations and relevant codes and standards. Coordination with the Discipline Leads, Principals, Project Manager and Engineering Manager is necessary to achieve these requirements.
Work is closely managed and reviewed for accuracy and adequacy. Follows specific, outlined, and detailed directions.
Provides resolution to problems that are readily identifiable with limited scope and are resolved in accordance with standard practices, procedures, applications or routines.
Problem/Task resolution timeframe: The majority of tasks typically take one to two days to resolve.
Contacts are primarily with direct supervisors and others in group or department to give and receive information.

Process Engineer IV

With guidance able to size and design process equipment.
- Works closely with member of the team and assist to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Implements and utilizes the Company’s Best Practices for projects and processes.
- Working knowledge of process engineering design and development.
Process Engineer III
-
With minimal guidance able to size and design process equipment.
- Basic understanding of suppliers for equipment and other industry knowledge.

Knowledge of process software engineering packages (i.e. Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, Promax, VMG Sim, IPRSM, etc.)

Development of process flow diagrams, mass balances, piping and instrumentation diagram.

Development of models needed to assist for type of work on Client project.
Process Engineer II

Able to size and design process equipment.
- Moderate understanding of suppliers for equipment and other industry knowledge.

Development of process design criteria.

Assist in preparation of capital cost estimates.
- Coordination with Project Engineering Department and other engineering disciplines.
Process Engineer I
-
Able to provide guidance for sizing and design of process equipment.

Detailed understanding of suppliers for equipment and other industry knowledge.

Preparation of studies and reports, including certification as a Qualified Person (QP)
- Performing advanced design, computations, and evaluations associated with oil and gas, distribution and planning projects.

Performing project administration including writing reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports.

Able to review and evaluate vendor bids.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PER JOB LEVEL
- Process Engineer IV – Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum or equivalent.

Process Engineer III – Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum or equivalent and at least 2 years’ experience.
- Process Engineer II – Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum or equivalent and at least 4 years’ experience.
- Process Engineer I - Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum or equivalent and at least 6 years’ experience.
Compensation for this role is determined based on a variety of factors including each candidate’s relevant experience, industry background, education, and demonstrated skills.
