Job Summary:
The Shop Attendant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day cleanliness, organization, and upkeep of the Tool Shop. This position performs routine shop maintenance tasks including cleaning tools, washing vehicles, stocking inventory, maintaining organized storage of tools and materials, and performing basic janitorial duties to ensure a clean and safe work environment. The Shop Attendant is expected to be dependable, follow direction, work safely, and support overall shop operations. Flexible hours may occasionally be required. The duties in this job description are not all-inclusive; additional duties may be assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform basic janitorial duties, including restroom cleaning, restocking supplies, and maintaining sanitary common areas.

Sweep, mop, and scrub shop floors regularly.

Dust, wipe down surfaces regularly.

Empty trash and recycling and maintain disposal areas.

Maintain exterior shop areas, including yard cleanup and snow/ice removal as needed.

Wash and clean company vehicles as needed.

Clean, organize, and help maintain tools and equipment.

Assist with basic inventory tasks such as labeling, restocking, and simple counts.

Assist with putting away inventory and organizing materials to ensure an orderly shop.

Assist with preparing tools and materials for pickup or delivery when needed.

Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
Qualifications:

A valid Driver License is required.

Physical Requirements:

Mobility: This Position is required to stand, walk, bend, kneel and climb for extended periods of time and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to repetitively lift and/or move up to 30 lbs., push / pull up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.

Working Conditions: This position requires employees to work indoors and outdoors in inclement weather, including wet surfaces and high variation in temperatures. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, power tools, and heights. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is highly variable.
