Position Summary
Walnut Ridge Family RV Sales is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Internal RV Service Advisor to coordinate and manage all internal service work for the dealership. This position is responsible for overseeing internal repair orders, tracking unit readiness, coordinating with multiple departments, and ensuring inventory units are prepared for sale and delivery.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong communication skills, and be able to effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage repair orders for:
- Pre-delivery inspection (PDI) units
- Used inventory units
- Stock service requests
- Audit repair orders submitted by the Finance Department for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify and track manufacturer recalls for:
- Sold units
- Inventory and stock units
- Manage and track all "We Owe" items to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain and reconcile borrowed parts records.
- Process and cashier internal repair orders accurately.
- Monitor ordered parts for internal units and ensure timely follow-up and installation.
- Coordinate with the Sales Department regarding inventory readiness and sold unit preparation.
- Conduct trade-in inspections and document reconditioning requirements.
- Perform sold unit inspections to verify units meet dealership delivery standards.
- Oversee internal repair orders from creation through completion.
- Track internal service activity and ensure units progress efficiently through the service process.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all internal service work.
- Communicate status updates, delays, and completion timelines to appropriate departments.
- Assist with additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in RV, automotive, powersports, marine, or service advising preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple departments.
- Basic computer proficiency required.
- Experience with dealership management systems (DMS) is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
