Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Drafter with strong proficiency in Cabinet Vision Software to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will transform architectural plans and customer specifications into accurate, production-ready cabinet drawings while collaborating with project managers, sales staff, and production personnel to ensure projects are completed efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed cabinet shop drawings using Cabinet Vision software.
- Produce manufacturing-ready drawings, cut lists, CNC data, and material reports.
- Interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications.
- Design custom cabinetry for residential and/or commercial projects.
- Review projects for constructability, functionality, and production efficiency.
- Coordinate with sales, project managers, and production teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Make revisions based on customer requests or field measurements.
- Maintain drawing accuracy and adherence to company standards.
- Assist in developing and improving Cabinet Vision libraries, standards, and processes.
- Troubleshoot design and production issues as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience using Cabinet Vision Software in a production environment.
- Experience drafting custom cabinetry and millwork.
- Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods and woodworking practices.
- Ability to read architectural and construction drawings.
- Experience generating CNC-ready files and production documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Screen-to-Machine (S2M) Center.
- Knowledge of CNC machining and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with residential custom kitchens, closets, vanities, and commercial millwork.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Microvellum is a plus.
- Understanding of AWI standards is desirable.
