Join our dynamic team as an Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Specialist and play a vital role in fostering a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. In this energetic position, you will lead efforts to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs that protect employees, safeguard the environment, and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations. Duties
- Develop, implement, and oversee EHS policies and procedures aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and other regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments to identify risks related to hazardous materials, environmental impact, and employee health.
- Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
- Provide comprehensive safety training and development programs for employees on topics such as first aid, CPR, hazardous materials handling, safety regulations, and environmental compliance.
- Ensure compliance with workers' compensation law by managing injury reports, claims processing, and ergonomic assessments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of safety records, incident reports, audit findings, and regulatory submissions.
- Collaborate with management to foster a safety-first culture that emphasizes proactive risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and environmental health practices.
- Expertise in occupational health principles with a focus on employee health regulatory compliance standards.
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with an understanding of safety regulations specific to production settings.
- Excellent report writing skills coupled with analytical abilities for root cause analysis of incidents.
- Ability to deliver engaging training sessions on safety procedures, hazard recognition, and emergency response protocols such as first aid, CPR, and OSHA compliance.
- Familiarity with workers' compensation law processes and legal requirements related to workplace injuries.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with regulatory agencies and internal teams on environmental legal compliance standards.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
