Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of pools, including skimming debris, vacuuming surfaces, and brushing walls to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Inspect and service pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with pool equipment using hand tools and power tools.
- Maintain and repair pool plumbing systems to prevent leaks or blockages that could impact water quality.
- Handle water treatment chemicals safely, including testing water parameters and adjusting chemical levels to ensure safe swimming conditions.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on pool infrastructure to identify potential issues early and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, chemical treatments, repairs performed, and safety inspections.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a service technician or in pool maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems efficiently.
- Familiarity with pool plumbing systems and water treatment chemical handling procedures.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for record keeping.
- Good physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that require standing, bending, lifting, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills to follow safety protocols and collaborate effectively with team members.
