Responsibilities
- Actively pursue new business opportunities through outside sales efforts, including cold calling, networking, and community engagement.
- Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, providing exceptional customer service and ongoing account support.
- Negotiate policy terms and premiums with clients to meet their needs while achieving sales targets.
- Conduct thorough analysis of client risks and insurance requirements to recommend appropriate coverage options.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and policy explanations clearly and confidently.
- Maintain detailed sales administration records, including client interactions, policy details, and follow-up activities.
- Stay informed about industry trends, insurance regulations, health insurance policies, property casualty coverage, and benefits administration to provide expert guidance.
Experience
- Proven success in outside sales or retail sales roles within the insurance or related financial services industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued.
- Familiarity with commercial insurance products such as property casualty and health insurance policies.
- Knowledge of insurance regulation standards and compliance requirements (including HIPAA where applicable).
- Experience with telemarketing or marketing strategies to generate leads and expand client base.
- Demonstrated analysis skills for assessing client needs and tailoring solutions accordingly.
