Plating Manager — Electroplating
Run the most advanced, cleanest plating line in the industry — and make it the benchmark.
Accel is transforming how specialty conductors get made, and plating sits at the center of it. We're looking for a technical leader with serious upside — someone who runs an operation by data, develops a team into a high-performing crew, and treats every shift as a chance to raise the bar.
What you'll own
- Run daily operations of electroplating lines with discipline and rigor — own safety, clear standards, visual management, and tiered daily accountability that surface problems fast and resolve them at the source.
- Drive process control: monitor key parameters to hold quality and reduce variation.
- Lead continuous improvement using lean tools — 5S, standard work, kaizen, and root-cause problem solving to cut waste, improve flow, and lift OEE on the line.
- Develop people. Build a structured training and qualification path that takes operators from new hire to fully competent, with documented signoffs and a real bench of skills. You set the culture: safe, accountable, and proud of the work.
- Manage scheduling and throughput to hit production commitment
What you bring
- Technical leadership in plating or a regulated manufacturing process
- Real command of process control and manufacturing fundamentals — you think in inputs, variation, and capability.
- Lean / CI instinct, or the drive to master it fast.
- A track record of raising standards and growing people.
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials, or related technical field preferred; strong hands-on experience considered.
Why Accel
- Newest equipment in the industry, a clear transformation mandate, and the § autonomy to build it right — with the tools, data, and support to grow as a leader while you do.
