Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated LPC Associate (LPC-A) who is currently under clinical supervision (LPC-S) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations using established clinical protocols.
- Support the delivery of individual and group counseling sessions utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).
- Implement treatment plans tailored to clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, or other mental health conditions, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines.
- Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management strategies to ensure client safety and stability during emergencies.
- Collect and document medical records, progress notes, and treatment data in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Participate in case management activities including intake procedures, patient care coordination, and follow-up assessments.
- Contribute to research initiatives by supporting data collection, clinical research projects, and maintaining accurate records aligned with ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems.
Requirements
- Current enrollment as an LPC Associate (LPC-A) actively under supervision by a licensed LPC (LPC-S).
- Demonstrated experience working with children, individuals with disabilities, or developmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder.
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices including behavioral management, social work principles, and mental health counseling techniques.
- Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols.
- Experience with home & community care settings or hospital environments is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for billing purposes, and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills for intake procedures, patient assessment, child & family counseling, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism while maintaining a positive attitude that motivates clients toward recovery. Pay: $40.00 per hour
