The Hardwick Area Food Pantry (HAFP) has three sites in Hardwick, Craftsbury, and Albany and serves an average of 2,000 people per month from over 20 different towns. W e are committed to holding our communities in dignity and care.
The Hardwick Site is looking for an Assistant Coordinator who will assist with the day-to-day operations. Applicants should enjoy and be comfortable connecting with diverse members and organizations within our community. This is also a position that will collaborate frequently with the HAFP Director.
Essential duties include:
● Assists with Tuesday morning Food Bank order receiving
● Oversees all aspects of Wednesday home delivery procedures
● Conducts Saturday open hours
● Maintains inventory and moves product between storage and off-site locations
● Assists in food management-food ordering, receiving, restocking, and tracking of donations
● Conducts all aspects of volunteer management for Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday volunteer shifts
● Performs custodial duties–sanitizing, mopping, dusting, trash and compost removal
● Office and facilities management-checks phones, updates documents, prints materials, and organizes files
● Record keeping and data collection
● Partners with the Director and Site Coordinator on various projects-painting, repairs, purchasing, organizing, documentation, and metrics
● Performs emergency deliveries, conducts informal social service referrals, and provides conflict resolution as needed All Candidates
Requirements:
● Must be able to lift 50 lbs, repeatedly (Our site distributes 20,000lbs of food each month.)
● Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
● A basic level of comfort with computer technology, Google Workspace preferred
● Experience using a hand truck and pallet jack preferred
● Must be detail oriented and organized

Schedules can be somewhat flexible. Pay is $21/hour and ~18-20hrs per week.
