Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing and directing Food Service operations and other areas of the warehouse. Promotes a high level of productivity and member service. Coordinates and participates in duties of the Food Service area.
Duties

MEMBER SERVICE: Provides and ensures staff provides an exceptional member experience.
ADMINISTRATION: Ensures proper department coverage (writing schedule and break aids if needed). Understands department budget, able to research and explain budget variances.
MANAGING PERFORMANCE: Coaches and mentors employees to provide support and guidance. Has regular open and honest conversations with employees to discuss work performance and career development. Identifies learning opportunities to strengthen employee knowledge, skill and ability.
COMMUNICATION: Regularly shares information with employees via meetings and one-on-one conversations. Successfully navigates difficult conversations with employees, members, and suppliers. Listens, expresses empathy and adapts to get point across. Addresses issues immediately to ensure a timely resolution and to avoid escalating the situation. Consistently demonstrates business knowledge during interactions with senior management.
SELF-MANAGEMENT: Demonstrates sound judgement, taking a partner when necessary. Ability to maintain self-control in the face of hostility or provocation or in intense, hectic situations.

Schedules, develops, counsels, trains and directs department personnel. Makes recommendations for hiring, promotion and termination to Warehouse Manager. Reviews and approves schedules. Drafts and participates in presentation of employee performance evaluations.
Reviews department profit and loss statement. Develops and implements sales and expense plan for department.
Observes employee procedures to ensure health code compliance in all operations of the department, such as sanitation, temperatures, and expiration dates. Performs sanitation tasks when necessary. Implements and upholds safety and security procedures.
Provides and ensures prompt and courteous member service, smooth customer flow and quality of finished product. Maintains and assists members with self-serve kiosk.
Observes employee performance and paperwork to ensure proper department production and cash handling procedures and standards are followed.
Determines product production requirements, participates in production. Participates in restocking ingredients and supplies, food preparation, selling goods and cleaning up.
Approves, participates in, and submits physical inventory periodically (13 times per year). Approves and submits orders to buying office for equipment, product and supplies.
Coordinates proper maintenance and repairs for machinery and equipment.
This is a full-time management/leadership position (45+ hours per week).
Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
Regular and reliable workplace attendance at your assigned location.
Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
Pizza oven, steam table, coffee/latte machine, scale, ice cream and smoothie machine, dough press, cash register, self-checkout kiosk, phone, wheeled rack, auto saucer, trash compactor, dishwasher, fire extinguisher, computer, printer, pizza peel, copier, dough proofer, compactor/baler, cart, flatbed.
Non-Essential Functions
Assists with Front End duties as necessary.
Assists in other areas of the Warehouse as necessary.
Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
Cash register, tabletop/hand-held scanners, carts, flatbeds.
Qualifications
Required:
- HIPAA Training and Supervisors Orientation (within 30 days of hire) Leadership Development 101 (within one year) Costco Pay Policies (within 90 days of promotion). Hazard Communication and JHA (initial assignment), Costco Hazardous Materials DOT Training Course: Part 1 (within 30 days and then every year), Hazmat Universal Waste Training- Short Version (within 30 days and then every year), Option STOP Training (within 30 days), Level 1 Food Safety Certification (within 30 days), Food Handler's Permit (prior to working in a foods area and only where required by state or local jurisdiction).
- Must be current on annual safety training within 30 days of hire.
- Supervisory level experience required.
Recommended:
- Management and food service experience requuired.
- Computer, math, customer service skills preferred.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
