Fire Damper Repair/Inspection Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Understands and exemplifies LEGACY’s core values.
- Capable of inspecting most electric, pneumatic, and mechanical dampers under supervision.
- Knowledgeable about all types of dampers and actuators, including installation, repair, retrofitting, and decommissioning.
- Familiar with all types of Dampers and actuators as well as how to install, repair, retrofit, decommission.
- Able to replace standard-sized mechanical dampers and actuators like-for-like under supervision.
- Can safely and accurately install duct access points.
- Ensures inspections are error-free and work is completed cleanly.
- Communicating progress and additional work requirements to our sales representatives.
- Maintaining a professional demeanor while interacting and communicating with clients from healthcare facilities.
- Providing accurate and timely documentation for final reports to ensure facility compliance.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Mechanically skilled.
- Must be self-driven with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Customer service experience and public interaction skills.
- Strong record-keeping and facilities inspection tracking abilities.
- Professional appearance.
- Willingness to travel.
- A positive, "can do" attitude is essential!
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office software.
- Able to read architectural plans and schematics.
Physical Requirements:
- Work above ceiling
- Work in tight spaces
- Work from a ladder
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking and climbing ladders

Salary: $20-$25 / hour **

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent trade school

- Valid Driver’s License
