Position Summary Gracewheel Healthcare Services is seeking an experienced Addiction Drug Trainer to lead staff education and training on substance use disorders, addiction treatment best practices, and regulatory compliance. This role is critical to ensuring clinical and support staff are equipped with up-to-date knowledge to deliver safe, effective care.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver training programs on substance use disorders, addiction treatment modalities, and harm reduction
- Train staff on medication-assisted treatment (MAT) protocols, withdrawal management, and relapse prevention
- Ensure training content aligns with CARF, COMAR, and state/federal regulatory requirements
- Develop training materials, presentations, and competency assessments
- Conduct new hire orientation and ongoing continuing education sessions
- Stay current on evolving addiction treatment research, regulations, and best practices
- Evaluate training effectiveness and update curriculum as needed
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to identify staff training needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (counseling, nursing, social work, or related) preferred
- Certification or licensure in substance use counseling or a related healthcare field
- Prior experience in addiction treatment and staff training/education
- Strong public speaking and curriculum development skills
- Familiarity with Maryland behavioral health regulations and CARF standard
Pay: $25.53 - $30.75 per hour
