Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of goods within our distribution center, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining safe and organized storage areas. Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse and plant.
- Accurately receive inbound shipments by inspecting goods, verifying quantities against shipping documents, and recording data into inventory management systems.
- Prepare outbound shipments by picking, packing, and staging orders using zebra scanners and inventory management software.
- Maintain precise inventory records through data entry ensuring stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to organize storage areas and optimize space utilization.
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations and shipping & receiving standards, including proper packaging and labeling for domestic and international shipments.
- Assist with cycle counts, stock replenishment, and inventory audits to support overall warehouse operations.
- Follow safety protocols during all forklift operations and warehouse activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Familiarity with Google Sheets
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail for maintaining precise records of inbound/outbound goods.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is highly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a focus on safety and accuracy.
- Able to work in all climates and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
