Companion Animal Hospital, a privately owned, small animal general practice in Bellevue, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

The major goal of the veterinary assistant in our hospital is to provide quality medical care to patients, by assisting veterinarians and technicians, and educating staff and clients in a broad range of topics that will increase awareness and compliance for responsible pet care.
Our ideal candidate will be proficient in the following skills:
- Excellent client service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Administering medication
- Filling prescriptions (VMC* will be required)
- Basic and advanced restraint techniques
- Venipuncture
- Assisting with radiography
- Assisting with surgical prep
- Cleaning and sterilizing instruments
- Checking in patients for procedures
Additional requirements include flexibility in scheduling including weekend availability, and a willingness to learn and grow in the profession. A Veterinary Medication Clerk* (VMC) certification is required for this position. You will be required to complete it within 120 days of hire via our hospital. Training, exam prep, and licensing fees are provided.
