Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented To-Go Specialist to help prepare, pack, check, and organize takeout orders. This position is important because the To-Go Specialist makes sure every customer receives the correct food, sauces, utensils, and special requests before the order leaves the restaurant.
The ideal candidate should be reliable, focused, organized, and able to work well during busy hours.
Main Responsibilities
- Check all takeout orders carefully before packing.
- Make sure every item on the receipt is included in the bag.
- Pack food neatly and safely to avoid spills or missing items.
- Include the correct sauces, utensils, napkins, and condiments.
- Pay attention to special instructions or allergy notes on the order.
- Keep the to-go station clean, stocked, and organized.
- Communicate with the kitchen, servers, and front desk when orders are missing or delayed.
- Help answer basic customer questions about takeout orders when needed.
- Hand orders to customers or delivery drivers in a professional manner.
- Stay focused during busy times and avoid distractions such as phone use.
- Follow restaurant policies and manager instructions.
Requirements
- Must be responsible and detail-oriented.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move around during the shift.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Restaurant experience is helpful but not required.
- Must be reliable and show up on time for scheduled shifts.
Important Expectations
- Accuracy is very important. Missing food, sauces, or utensils can cause customer complaints.
- Employees must stay professional in front of customers.
- Phone use is not allowed at the to-go station during work time unless approved by a manager.
- The to-go area must stay clean and organized at all times.
- Employees are expected to ask a manager if they are unsure about an order.
Pay will be discussed during the interview and may depend on experience and job performance.
Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
