- Hours: 36 Hours/Week
- Contract: 13 Weeks | Potential Extension
- Local Pay: $53/Hour
- Travel Pay: $2,076/Week Gross
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide safe, high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while responding quickly to changes in patient conditions.
Requirements
- Active and current Illinois RN License
- Minimum 1 year of acute-care RN experience; Emergency Department experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
- Basic arrhythmia interpretation skills
- Knowledge of EMTALA regulations and mandatory abuse reporting requirements
- Ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
- CEN certification preferred
- BSN preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions
- Communicate patient status, diagnostic results, and treatment responses to physicians
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation and professional nursing standards
- Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
