Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and disciplined Jailer to uphold safety, security, and order within correctional facilities. As a vital member of our security team, you will oversee inmate management, enforce facility rules, and ensure the safety of staff, inmates, and visitors. Duties
- Monitor inmate activities through CCTV surveillance and direct supervision within the facility.
- Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and discipline among inmates.
- Conduct regular inspections of inmate living quarters, common areas, and facility perimeters.
- Respond promptly to incidents or disturbances using conflict management techniques and de-escalation skills.
- Write detailed incident reports, shift logs, and other documentation accurately and thoroughly.
- Assist in emergency response situations by providing first aid or CPR when necessary.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or transfers to ensure compliance with legal procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or correctional facilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance technology is preferred.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus; willingness to obtain these certifications if not already held.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle tense situations calmly and professionally.
- Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
