Job Summary
Knock Out Print and Design is seeking a highly organized Print Shop Administrative Assistant to support daily operations and serve as a central point of communication between customers, production staff, management, and ownership.
This position requires someone who can stay informed about ongoing projects, track job progress, communicate effectively with customers and staff, and help ensure that work flows smoothly throughout the shop. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This role reports directly to the Director and Shop Manager and plays a key role in keeping everyone informed and organized throughout the day. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain awareness of active projects, communicate updates and concerns to management, and help ensure customer expectations and production schedules are being met.
This is not a traditional office position. The successful candidate will divide their time between administrative duties and production support. When customer service, phone, email, and administrative responsibilities are caught up, the employee is expected to report to the Shop Manager for production and finishing assignments. The ideal candidate is flexible, proactive, and willing to assist wherever needed to help the shop operate efficiently.
Production Support Expectations
During periods when customer traffic, phone calls, emails, and administrative tasks are light, the Administrative Assistant will assist with production operations under the direction of the Shop Manager.
Production duties may include:
- Operating digital printing equipment
- Folding, cutting, laminating, binding, and other finishing services
- Packaging completed orders
- Assisting with shipping and receiving
- Preparing materials for production
- Organizing completed jobs for pickup or delivery
- Maintaining a clean and organized production environment
- Assisting other departments as directed by management
The successful candidate must be comfortable transitioning between office and production responsibilities throughout the day and contributing wherever needed to support the operation of the shop.
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
