Position Overview
We are currently seeking on-call drivers and fence installers to join our field operations team. This role involves loading fencing materials at our yard, transporting them to job sites, and installing/removing fencing systems. Candidates must be physically fit, safety-conscious, and comfortable driving trucks with trailers.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks with fencing panels, bases, and tools using proper lifting techniques or equipment
- Drive company vehicles (up to 26,000 lbs GVWR) to and from job sites
- Install and remove temporary fencing in accordance with site layouts and safety standards
- Use basic hand and power tools, including post pounders and impact drivers
- Track time worked and materials used; report data to the office team
- Maintain clean and organized job sites and vehicles
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper PPE use
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and clients
- Supervise day laborers or assist other crew members as needed
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely drive medium-duty trucks (non-CDL, under 26,000 lbs)
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work outdoors in all weather
- Experience in construction or fence installation preferred but not required
- Willingness to be flexible with on-call scheduling
- Must be dependable and punctual
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $25.00 per hour
- Prevailing Wage may apply depending on the project and location
- Sick Leave: Provided in accordance with state law
