Job Summary
We are seeking a Truck/Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the maintenance and repair of trucks, trailers, and other heavy machinery. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Truck Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates safely.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and other heavy equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using automotive diagnostic computer.
- Repair or replace components including brakes, clutch, basic electrical, transmissions, hydraulics, and suspension systems.
- Conduct tire service, oil change, and brake repair on various types of machinery.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication and assembly tasks.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of repairs and services performed.
- Weld, Cut, and Fabricate
- Provide exceptional service by communicating effectively with internal clients regarding their equipment repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Truck Mechanic or similar role in automotive repair or industrial equipment maintenance.
- Must supply your own tools.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in engine repair.
- Experience in hydraulics installation and maintenance beneficial.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques.
- Experience with heavy lifting and physical demands of the job.
- Strong problem-solving skills along with electrical experience is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team and management.
