Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Hvac Master Contractor to lead and execute complex heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and mechanical systems projects. This role is vital in ensuring the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of a wide range of HVAC systems across diverse building environments. As a master contractor, you will leverage your extensive construction experience, technical expertise, and leadership skills to deliver top-quality service and ensure optimal system performance. Duties
- Lead the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment (including ammonia refrigeration), and building automation systems.
- Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics, equipment failures, and mechanical system malfunctions using specialized tools such as ohmmeters and hand tools.
- Perform comprehensive HVAC system repairs and system upgrades while adhering to safety standards and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, provide expert advice on HVAC design options, and ensure customer satisfaction through exceptional service.
- Manage plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and coordinate with other trades for seamless project execution.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system diagnostics for future reference and compliance.
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in HVAC system installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Service technician experience with hands-on work in troubleshooting HVAC/R equipment and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems diagnostics, building automation controls, and refrigeration processes.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles along with practical experience in equipment troubleshooting including boilers, air conditioning units, ammonia refrigeration systems, and mechanical systems repair.
- Ability to operate hand tools efficiently and perform precise mechanical systems repair tasks.
- Experience working with electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters; familiarity with electrical systems within HVAC/R environments.
- Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants; knowledge of safety protocols related to refrigerant management.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating commercial vehicles is preferred.
