Duties
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with accuracy and speed
- Greet customers, answer questions, and assist with product information or demonstrations when needed
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments accurately while maintaining proper cash handling procedures
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, ensuring merchandise is well-stocked and properly displayed through merchandising and stocking tasks
- Support store operations by assisting with inventory management, stock replenishment, and basic retail math calculations for pricing and sales tracking
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual (Spanish), abilities are a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed
- Knowledge of store operations or retail sales practices is beneficial
