Position Purpose
The Project Manager serves as a cornerstone leadership role within the construction operations
of the company. This position is responsible for overseeing project execution from
pre-construction through completion while ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within
budget, and to the company’s quality standards. The Project Manager will lead project
coordination, subcontractor management, budgeting oversight, and client communication while
maintaining a culture of accountability, communication, and operational excellence. The role
requires an ownership mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, deadline-driven
environment.
Reporting & Collaboration Structure
The Project Management reports directly to ownership and works closely with office
administration, field supervisors, estimators, vendors, subcontractors, and clients. During the
first 6–12 months, the Project Manager will focus heavily on learning the company’s systems,
processes, standards, and communication expectations. Over time, this role will become the
primary leader responsible for daily project execution, construction scheduling, subcontractor
coordination, and project delivery.
The Project Manager will also maintain strong relationships with municipalities, inspectors,
engineers, architects, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure projects remain compliant,
efficient, and professionally managed.
Core Objectives
1. Fully understand the company’s construction workflows, scheduling systems, estimating
procedures, and budgeting tools.
2. Develop fluency in project performance metrics, timelines, and profitability tracking.
3. Lead daily project coordination meetings while maintaining accountability across all active
jobsites.
4. Build operational confidence and judgment to independently manage project-level challenges
while maintaining communication with ownership.
5. Establish strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and field teams.
6. Demonstrate measurable improvements in project execution, communication, safety, and
financial performance.
Core Responsibilities
The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring all construction projects achieve operational
excellence, financial performance, and quality standards.
Key Areas of Accountability Include:
- Project Scheduling & Coordination – Oversee project schedules, sequencing, subcontractor
coordination, inspections, and timelines to ensure projects remain on track.
- Budget & Cost Management – Monitor project budgets, approve invoices, track change orders,
and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Vendor & Subcontractor Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with
subcontractors and vendors while ensuring work quality, timeliness, professionalism, and cost
control.
- Client Communication – Maintain proactive communication with clients, ownership, and
stakeholders regarding project progress, scheduling updates, and challenges.
- Quality Control – Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure workmanship meets
company standards and project specifications.
- Safety & Compliance – Ensure projects comply with OSHA requirements, building codes,
permits, inspections, and company safety standards.
- Reporting & Analysis – Provide weekly project summaries outlining schedule status, financial
updates, risks, delays, and action plans.
- Leadership & Accountability – Promote a culture of ownership, urgency, communication, and
professionalism across all projects and team members.
Rhythm
Daily Responsibilities:
- Participate in and lead daily project coordination meetings.
- Review active project schedules, priorities, and subcontractor timelines.
- Communicate with field staff, subcontractors, and vendors regarding active work.
- Respond to project issues, schedule conflicts, and client concerns promptly.
- Track project progress and update project management systems.
- Maintain communication with ownership regarding major developments or risks.
Weekly Responsibilities:
- Review project budgets, schedules, and profitability metrics.
- Conduct site visits and quality control walkthroughs.
- Review subcontractor invoices and change orders.
- Provide written project status updates to ownership.
- Coordinate upcoming scheduling needs with vendors and subcontractors.
Monthly Responsibilities:
- Participate in monthly operational and financial review meetings.
- Review overall project pipeline, staffing needs, and scheduling forecasts.
- Conduct subcontractor performance reviews.
- Identify operational improvements and efficiencies.
Quarterly Responsibilities:
- Conduct quarterly evaluations of systems, vendors, and subcontractor performance.
- Establish operational improvement goals for the next quarter.
- Assist ownership with forecasting, strategic planning, and growth initiatives.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
