Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems.
- Repair and maintain engines, including diesel engine repair, powertrain components, and automotive engine technology to ensure optimal performance.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems effectively.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire alignments, brake repairs, and suspension work to uphold safety standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and manual handling techniques to execute repairs efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Diagnose and repair advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and other electronic features to enhance vehicle safety and functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs on GM vehicles or similar models, ensuring quality workmanship and timely service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or equivalent automotive repair background demonstrating mechanic expertise.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive engine systems, electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools, schematics interpretation, and automotive wiring diagrams.
- Experience with diesel engine repair, heavy lifting, and the use of power tools in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and understand automotive repair manuals, schematics, and technical documents accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professional conduct.
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, and working in confined spaces.
