Assistant Director
We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and highly organized Assistant Director to join our leadership team. In this role, you will work closely with the Center Director to ensure the center provides a safe, secure, caring and enriched environment that promotes learning and the development of the whole child.
The assistant Director will dedicate a percentage of the work day assisting the center Director in office and assisting in the classroom modeling appropriate practice, and work place behaviors for the teaching staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily academic and enrichment activities that align with mission and culture of The Children’s Garden
- Ensure full compliance with PA state licensing regulations, STARS standards, and company policies
- Support, mentor, and help manage teaching staff while promoting a positive and collaborative team culture
- Act as a classroom teacher when necessary for ratio, development, and staffing needs
- Communicate professionally and effectively with families and team members
- Assist with program development and initiatives that support enrollment growth and program quality
- Learn all aspects of the Director role and serve as Acting Director when needed
- Reports the Center Director who is the immediate supervisor to the Assistant Director
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field
- At least 2 years related center management experience of mid-size Early Childhood programs and classroom teaching experience
- Experience successfully partnering with multiple agencies, preferred
- Outstanding relationship builder within community
- Demonstrated ability to manage the successful day-to-day operations of a high-quality center
- Knowledge and understanding of Keystone STARS
- Must meet all required clearances and health checks.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
