In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading goods, ensuring safe handling of materials, and maintaining accurate inventory flow. Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload container shipments using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and cranes
- Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting to move goods within the warehouse
- Operate warehouse equipment responsibly following safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards
- Use RF scanners to accurately track inventory movement and update warehouse management systems
- Assist with order picking activities to fulfill customer orders efficiently and accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and operational efficiency
- Support shipping & receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing goods against documentation
- Conduct materials handling with precision to prevent damage and ensure proper storage of items
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution workflows
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and material handling equipment safely
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and RF scanners is a plus
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects consistently
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments
- Knowledge of safety protocols including OSHA regulations related to warehouse activities
- Experience in order picker operations or warehouse supervisor roles is advantageous
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards
