Job Details
- Location: Savannah, GA (Must live within a 30-mile radius)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday (Occasional Saturdays)
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Varies slightly based on freight)
- Home Time: Nightly
- Equipment: 2016-2023 Kenworth trucks (On-site parking included)
- Lanes: Savannah intra-city and to/from GA Ports (Savannah, Brunswick)
Compensation & Bonuses
- Weekly Minimum Guarantee: $1,050 (Prorated if time off is taken)
- Average Weekly Earnings: $1,200 – $1,800
- New Hire Transition Bonus: $500 (Paid in full on your second paycheck)
- Referral Bonus: $3,000 ($1k on 2nd paycheck, $1k at 60 days, $1k at 120 days) [1, 2]
Equipment & Freight Types
- Equipment: Chassis and all open-deck gear (Flatbed, stepdeck, double drop)
- Freight: Containers, JCB machine parts, GP drywall, CAT engines/gensets
- Truck Speed: Governed at 65 mph [1]
Additional Pay Per Load (Earned on top of your guarantee!)
- Container Dray: $20 round trip
- Stepdeck / Flatbed Loads: $30
- JCB to Brunswick: $50
- Flatracks / Power Mods: $60
- Legal RDE / OD Wide / OD Tall: $60
- Griffin to SAV: $80
- Dray to Charleston: $80
- HAZ Loads: Additional $10 (e.g., HAZ power mod on flatrack = $70)
- SAV to Ft. Lauderdale Power Mod: $250 (Rare layover using truck sleeper)
Job Requirements:
Must have 6 months securement experience including chains, binders, straps, measuring for permits/escorts
Have a general knowledge of how to work the equipment like extending an RDE (rear drop extendable trailer)
1 year experience with 6 months verified flatbed in the last 3 years
TWIC required
Wage Range: 1200.00 - 1800.00 per week
General Description of Benefits: New Hire Transition Bonus: $500– paid in full on second paycheck
