Brewhouse Operator
Saugatuck Brewing Company is seeking a dedicated and skilled Brewhouse Operator to join our passionate brewing team. If you have a strong work ethic, a meticulous eye for detail, and a love for crafting exceptional beer, we want to hear from you!
As a brewer, you will be an integral part of our production process, responsible for the crucial steps that transform grain and hops into wort ready for fermentation. This hands-on role requires someone who is reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining our high standards of quality and cleanliness.
Pay:

Responsibilities
- CIP (Clean-in-Place) and sanitizing of brewhouse and fermenters.
● Operating and maintaining our brewhouse
● Mashing and lautering to create wort to specification.
● Prepping of tanks for wort sanitizing and yeast pitching.
● Accurate record-keeping on brewing software and paper logs, including kegging, dry hopping, and transfer volumes.
● Executing whirlpool hopping and adjunct additions.
● Maintaining and operating the mill.
● Strict adherence to all safety and cleanliness standards.
● Diligent following of all recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
● Occasional keg cleaning and canning line support.
● Assisting with monthly inventory.
Experience
- Previous experience in a brewery is required.
● Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
● Strong understanding of brewing principles and cellar operations.
● Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
