The Assistant Lead Direct Support Professional provides direct support to individuals in their homes while also assisting the Lead DSP with oversight of daily service provision. This position supports individuals with personal cares, health and safety needs, community involvement, appointments, medication-related documentation, financial supports, household needs, and implementation of Individual Service Plans.
The Assistant Lead DSP also helps train, coach, and provide feedback to DSPs and Shift Facilitators; monitors documentation and service quality while on shift; assists with medical appointments, grocery shopping, prescription pick-ups, and transportation; and helps ensure staffing ratios, supervision, and client supports are completed appropriately. This role requires strong communication, independent problem-solving, professionalism, and the ability to make sound decisions in an unsupervised home and community-based setting.
Candidates must be willing to provide and assist with personal cares, work some evenings and weekends, be an approved driver, and provide transportation to individuals served as needed. Candidates must also have general computer skills and proficiency with, or a willingness to learn, agency technology and software including SetWorks, Relias, AccuFlo, ADP, and Microsoft products.
