RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate CATS Transit Buses safely on prescribed scheduled routes as directed
- Collect and record bus fares and transfers in accordance with CATS procedures
- Promote exemplary customer service by providing safe, courteous, timely, and dependable service while transporting customers
- Input information into computer-based equipment such as Automated Vehicle Locator (AVL), Automatic Passenger Counter (APC), fare-box, and destination displays
- Read and interpret maps and complex schedules and provide route and schedule information to transit customers
- Assist in the boarding of disabled customers who require the aid of accessible vehicles (wheelchairs/scooters) for mobility
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ year of professional bus or commercial vehicle operating experience
- Valid Class A or B CDL with Passenger Endorsement (Required)
- Ability to read and interpret maps and complex route schedules
- Strong customer service skills and professional, friendly demeanor
- Reliable, self-starter, roll-up-the-sleeves work ethic
- Valid Driver's License
