JPosition Summary:
The IT Business Intelligence Specialist is a technical role responsible for managing the resort’s data infrastructure, reporting systems, and analytics tools. This position ensures the integrity, availability, and strategic use of data across departments by maintaining data pipelines, supporting integrations, and developing business intelligence solutions. The analyst will play a key role in shaping the resort’s data strategy and enabling data-driven decision-making through scalable, secure, and reliable reporting systems. For the right candidate, this position may be structured as a hybrid role, with a mix of in-office and remote workdays, provided the individual is based locally and available for on-site meetings and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and Excel-based reports to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure the reliability and performance of data integrations and automated data pipelines across internal systems and third-party platforms.
- Collaborate with IT, operations, and leadership teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable reporting solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data flows to ensure continuous access to accurate and timely information.
- Work with external partners and vendors to ensure secure and complete access to all relevant data sources.
- Contribute to the development of the resort’s long-term data architecture and reporting strategy.
- Use scripting tools (e.g., Python, DAX, M, VBA) to automate data processing, transformation, and reporting tasks.
- Maintain data governance standards and ensure consistency across all reporting platforms.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Excel, including advanced data modeling and visualization techniques.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, DAX, M, or VBA for automation and data transformation.
- Strong understanding of data integration, ETL processes, and troubleshooting data pipeline issues.
- Ability to work with APIs, databases, and cloud-based data services.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in technical data or reporting role within the hospitality or service industry.
- Familiarity with hospitality systems such as PMS, RMS, or POS platforms.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
