Responsibilities
- Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to support clients’ developmental goals
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, feeding, and other essential self-care tasks
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop and follow individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies
- Support clients during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and positive environment that encourages learning and growth
- Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and team members to provide updates on progress and address concerns
Skills
- Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder
- Proficiency in assisting with ADLs and implementing behavior management strategies
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Ability to collect detailed data accurately during therapy sessions for ongoing assessment
- Excellent teaching skills combined with patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Familiarity with special education practices and behavioral health concepts
