Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and assisting with various dental procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient care.
Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Take x-rays
- Record patient information and maintain accurate dental records
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and trimming impressions
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
-Willingness to learn new techniques
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and equipment
- Proficiency in taking dental x-rays
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as open dental
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
