Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers, ensuring a welcoming and positive experience
- Display and maintain baked goods, keeping shelves stocked and visually appealing
- Prepare and craft specialty coffee, tea, and other beverages according to company recipes
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to take orders and process payments
- Maintain cleanliness in the store, including the front counter, seating areas, and self-serve stations
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages to customers with precision and care
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas
- Assist customers with menu selections, providing recommendations based on their preferences
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies; assist in ordering as needed
- Adhere to food handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours while delivering exceptional service
- Be on time for all scheduled shifts and adhere to all company policies and guidelines
- Store associates will be expected to cross train in each department including: Bread, Cake, POS, Bar
